History

Late Awakenings is a peer support group started in the late 1990s by partners Annie and Tammy, who recognized the need for a space where “late in life” (a relative and subjective term) lesbians could support each other through sharing stories, advice from lived experience, and resources for other women in the same position.

In 2022, we officially expanded our group to include any female-identifying and non-binary folks questioning their orientation and we have been growing steadily at a moderate pace since.

We meet monthly on every third Tuesday of the month at Q Center (pictured below).
